Publishing one relevant piece of content every now and then is not going to build the audience and following that you want and need. A consistent content calendar ensures that you are pushing out relevant and timely content that answers timely questions of your audience. Establish yourself as a thought leader and your audience will return time and time again for your content. Organizing your content in a calendar or matrix format as well as listing by date, topic and audience will help you determine where your gaps are, or what topic needs to be addressed. Ask your audience for feedback, inviting them to comment on a post or email with suggestions or questions.

Writing with the end goal of helping your audience answer a specific question is key to turning prospects into clients. As you establish a rhythm of relevant and timely content, your audience will return again and again to your blog, social media pages or website, as you are viewed as a trusted resource.
